SBB Updates!

We went a little MIA on you, huh? So here's what happened: Shannon always ran the tours, I never really had anything to do with it. Shannon has recently left the Blogging world. That means no more tours. Sorry about that!

SBB is just going to go back to what it originally was, a place to find bookish events in the south and to share posts about those events. I'm expecting a baby in June, but I'm going to try m,y very best to keep things updated from now on. I let things get away from me when the tours started, but no more! If you know of any events we don't have listed please let me know! Either leave a comment or email me.

Also, I apologize for all the spam. Wow! I've deleted it all and set it up so that anonymous users can't comment anymore. Hopefully that should take care of that.

SBB (ARC) Tour: The Rules for Disappearing

The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston
Tour Type: Road Trip (6 Bloggers)

She’s been six different people in six different places: Madeline in Ohio, Isabelle in Missouri, Olivia in Kentucky . . . But now that she’s been transplanted to rural Louisiana, she has decided that this fake identity will be her last.

Witness Protection has taken nearly everything from her. But for now, they’ve given her a new name, Megan Rose Jones, and a horrible hair color. For the past eight months, Meg has begged her father to answer one question: What on earth did he do – or see – that landed them in this god-awful mess? Meg has just about had it with all the Suits’ rules — and her dad’s silence. If he won’t help, it’s time she got some answers for herself.

Summer/Fall ARC Suggestons

First I would like to thank all the bloggers who've made our ARC Tour such a success. It's been cool getting to know my fellow southern readers a bit better. We know the tours have been quiet lately but we're working on getting back to normal.

With spring just around the corner, Kate (@ExLibris_Kate) & I (@StalkintheBooks) would love to know which summer/fall books you'd like to read as part of our ARC Tour. There's no guarantee we'll be able to get the books you want but it will give us a better idea of the genres/subjects you're most interested in.

Don't forget that we're always accepting ARC donations for the tour and that without your help we wouldn't be able to keeping this thing going. If you have an ARC you'd like to donate please let us know in the comments or send an email to: SouthernARCTours(at)yahoo(dot)com. Keep in mind since its the middle of February we are only looking for ARCs with a late April release date or later. Thank you!

Lastly, the Events page was last updated on Feb. 7th, so go check that out. If you know of any events coming to your local bookstore, city or state please let us know so we can add them. Again we thank you!

SBB (ARC) Tour: The Rules

The Rules by Stacey Kade
Tour Type: Road Trip (6 Bloggers)

1. Never trust anyone.
2. Remember they are always searching.
3. Don’t get involved.
4. Keep your head down.
5. Don’t fall in love.

Ariane Tucker has followed these simple rules since the night she escaped from the genetics lab where she was created, the result of combining human and extraterrestrial DNA. Ariane’s survival depends on her ability to blend in among the full-blooded humans in a small Wisconsin town, to hide in plain sight from those who seek to recover their lost (and expensive) “project.”

But when a cruel prank goes awry, it puts her in the path of Zane Bradshaw, the police chief’s son and someone who sees too much. Someone who really sees her. After years of trying to be invisible, Ariane finds the attention frightening—and utterly intoxicating. Suddenly, nothing is simple anymore, especially not the rules…

SBB (ARC) Tour - Poison

Poison by Bridget Zinn
Tour Type: Road Trip (6 Bloggers)

Sixteen-year-old Kyra, a highly-skilled potions master, is the only one who knows her kingdom is on the verge of destruction--which means she's the only one who can save it. Faced with no other choice, Kyra decides to do what she does best: poison the kingdom's future ruler, who also happens to be her former best friend. But, for the first time ever, her poisoned dart...misses. Now a fugitive instead of a hero, Kyra is caught in a game of hide-and-seek with the king's army and her potioner ex-boyfriend, Hal. At least she's not alone. She's armed with her vital potions, a too-cute pig, and Fred, the charming adventurer she can't stop thinking about. Kyra is determined to get herself a second chance (at murder), but will she be able to find and defeat the princess before Hal and the army find her?
